Q..What type of training method do you use?

A.. Our approach is decidedly dog and people friendly. We place an emphasis on helping people learn how to manage their dog’s time so as to best set them up for success. In addition, we adhere to an approach to teaching that encourages your dog to be motivated to want to learn. Creating a dog that is an enthusiastic student is the easiest and fastest route to helping them achieve success in terms of being a compliant and mannerly member of the family. With this goal in mind, positive, training is the way to go!

Q. Should I attend a group class or have private instruction?

A. If you are having issues at home or you have an aggressive dog you should start with a private lesson, if you are looking for more general obedience then I would suggest a group class.

Q. Can more than one person in my family attend the group training class?

A. We not only welcome but encourage your entire family to be involved with your pups training

Q. What should I bring to class?

A. A training collar, a 6ft leash {no retractable leashes please}, close toed shoes, and water for you and your dog.

Q. How do I decide which class is right for my dog?

A. If your pup is 7 weeks to 5 months you can take the puppy class, from 5 months and up you would start with basic obedience unless your dog can pass the basic obedience test and then you can start the advanced obedience class. If you are looking for a therapy or service dog then we start that program right away.

Q. I can’t make it to class. What should I do?

A. Let me know right away and we can schedule a make-up session

Q. Is there a guarantee for your training?

A. If you and your dog are working very hard and something is not coming together, I will work with you until everything falls into place.

Q. What methods of payments do you accept?

A. I accept payments through Venmo {@[email protected]} or I can meet you to collect cash payments before class is started.

Q. What neighborhoods do you serve for private lessons?

A. I travel outside of Jackson for private lessons, I just add mileage.

Q. What vaccinations do you require?

A. We require that dogs be up to date on Distemper, Parvo and Rabies vaccinations or titers. Puppies must be up-to-date and on their way to full vaccination with at least one round of “puppy shots” after the age of 7 weeks.

Q. What is the age cutoff for Puppy class?

A. Puppies must be under 5 months of age to attend a Puppy class.

Q. Do I have to register for class or can I just show up?

A: Registration and prepayment is required for all classes because they do fill up so quickly.
