I have different class packages, The Puppy Package, The Basic Obedience Package, The Intermediate Obedience Package which is the curriculum from the AKC for their Canine Good Citizen program, The Advanced Obedience Program, and I also have a Service Dog & Therapy dog program for those who qualify.

The Basic Obedience Package

I do all of my lessons in a bundle of 4 sessions.

Basic Obedience Curriculum, (we add or subtract as we go based on what your customization is.)

  • “Heel” and “loose leash walking” – walking right beside you on a leash
  • “Down” and “Extended down”
  • “Come”, “sit”, and “extended sit”
  • “Place” and “Extended place”
  • “Out” – to drop anything you ask them to
  • “Off” – don’t jump on me or anyone else
  • “Look” – stop the current behavior and look at you for further instruction.

The commands that we do an extended duration with is intended to be held by the dog until you say “break” which is a release word.

The great thing about being one on one is that we can work on any behavioral issues as well

Service dog, emotional support or

therapy dog classes

(price to be determined at consult)

Service dogs assist people with physical, neurological, or psychological disabilities to perform everyday tasks. They help people overcome limitations caused by the disability and increase their independence and freedom.. They can help people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Military Sexual Trauma, or Traumatic Brain Injury to function successfully in public, helping them to feel secure and easing stressful situations. Each service dog/handler team is individually trained to address the unique needs of the handler.

We provide service dog training to help with the specific needs of his or her handler. The dog, the handler, and often the handler’s family or support group are trained to work together to help overcome the specific day-to-day challenges faced by the handler. Service dog training includes teaching the dog how to behave appropriately in every type of public setting they may encounter, including cars, elevators, public transportation, restaurants, churches, wheelchairs, crowds, other dogs, and noises and distractions. Our training provides concrete methods to prepare the service dog and the handler to pass a public access test.

We require a letter of medical necessity from one of your licensed medical providers, a sit down interview, a copy of your dog’s Rabies Certificate,  and documentation of distemper combo vaccination (i.e., DHPP) to commence training. Throughout the course of training, we also need a veterinarian health check letter. In addition to passing all training requirements, to complete the program you must maintain at a least a 6-month relationship with Passion Fur Paws, and your dog must be at least 6 months old, be mentally and physically mature, and be sterilized (spayed/neutered).

I look forward to hearing from you!
